I hadnt contacted an ex friend for months and then sent him a Merry Xmas text even though my buddy said 'don't'

I got nothing back

It's not like I have been bothering him i hadnt text'd him for a very long time but I got a woosh of Xmas spirit and text him anyway

Feel like a fool I realize this is not that serious (ie one text after a month or two) but when I received nothing back I just sit here and wonder what a fool he thinks I am.

I am fixated on it

He was a friend I met several months ago I fell for him and we parted company because he didnt feel the same. I am a little obsessed with him. I am in counseling but even my therapist is getting a bit bored and exasperated with it!!! LOL

I am have written 'LOL' but i dont really feel like lol-ing.

I figure this guy is not thinking much about it .. he's probably NOT thinking of you as a fool .. he's just not thinking on it at all.

All of us - send text messages that we wished we hadn't. But know what ? You can't unring a bell .. meaning you can't go backwards and change things ... so go forward and forget about it.

It's not a big thing .. and I really bet he has already forgot about it .. so you do the same.

He might even think it was nice - but he didn't want to stir things up - so he did not text back.

Nothing wrong with what you did ... it was a nice thing .. and you have not been bombarding him with texts - it was only one text - a nice text - which millions of people send to everyone in their mail box during special times of the year - especially at Christmas time .. just spreading good cheer.

It's ok. Make yourself forget it.

The best thing you can do is erase his number. That way it won't be a temptation. I think you should stop obsessing, as that is a great way to go crazy. If you start doing things that interest you, you might find someone else. Besides, he's not worth it, so don't worry about what he thinks of you for texting him. Think more like, well, he's too busy or possibly rude or trying to tell you that it's over. Just be grateful for what you did have of him.

Take his number off speed dial, if that does't work consider cutting your thumbs off.
