Would it mean less if the patriots beat New York's second stringers?

TDonn, I am not a Patriots hater. I want New England to go undefeated because I was not alive in '72 when Miami did it in 14 games.

The Giants will rest at least the banged up starters it would be stupid not to. The other opponents should have thought about breaking history the past 15 games, it shouldn't fall on the Giants.

Tom Coughlin is from Boston, he doesn't want to see the Patriots not go 16-0, like the rest of us. He also doesn't want to face a 15-1 Patriots team in the Super Bowl. His chances increase by facing a 16-0 Patriots team, for many reasons, if the Giants were to make it that far.

Nothing tainted, tey're the best ever. Period.

I'm sure the Patriots starters won't play the whole 4 quarters also. I have noticed that there is a Patriots question in every 4 questions I read. It's flattering but it gets tiring too. There are 31 other teams in the NFL to talk about.

You'd have to go through all 16 games and find valid excuses why the win should be disallowed before I'm convinced any part of this season is tainted. Lots of teams play other teams that have injuries or suspended players. You play with the guys you have available vs. theirs.

All this "cheating" overreaction is to one single video camera used for part of one quarter in the opening game of the season. Do you really feel the Jets could have won that game anyway? Honestly? If anything, it would taint whatever part of last season they may have used cameras in, not this season.

This is a legit 15-0 team, and we'll just see what happens from here.

I dont see either team resting up. If the giants win this game going into the post season. That will be a huge uplift. Plus any team facing them will know they are facing the only team to beat the Pats. I just fill sorry for what ever team the Pats first face if they do lose too the Giants. Cause they WILL run the score up on that game.

No, it is not tainted. Each team fields 53 players and more than like the starters will play some, with the back-ups the rest of the time so to give the starters on the Giants rest

Absolutely NOT.

The Giants don't owe it to anybody to try their best..

Besides the Pats have no control over the competition so you can not hold anything the opponent does...against the Pats. That is just silly.

If the Giants decided to hire and start Ryan Leaf...still would not be a knock against the Pats...but certainly a huge knock against the Giants...

After 15 years nobody will care that the Pats beat the Giants practice squad, Moss broke Rice record in 4 more games or Brady broke Peyton's record in one more game.

Old records were beaten after seasons were extended to 14 and then to 16 games, and after rules became nicer to QBs. Marino set the 48 TD record in more difficult conditions.

Conclusion: the record won't be tainted.

First of all, there is no 16-0 record.
Right now there is 60 minutes more football waiting.

For myself I want a 21-0 Giant victory. Not a single meaningful record set. Complete disappointment for Patriot*** "fans" everywhere. Then they can add a playoff one and done to complete the greatest choke job ever.

Now that's the kind of history I want to see!!!

Nope. There are a lot of games that, due to injury, weather, or other circumstances, are less than ideal. However, I want to see both teams at their best. People who say that the season or record is already tainted, are not paying attention to what all the experts are saying...
