No its not strange but you wouldn't have to look too hard to find more characters like that in every romance novel ever written..Try reading The Immortal Highlander by Karen Marie Moning or any other of her Highlander stories and see if the main male charchter reminds you of anyone...That's what the Twilight series is a hyped up romance novel without the sex..That's what the author wants to happen..That's why she used the word "I" so that you become emotionally involved with the characters..didn't you feel like Edward was breaking up with you instead of Bella?..I'm not even an Edward fan and it hurt me..almost physically..maybe I'm just weird but the word "I" always seems to put me in the main characters place..So no. Its not weird it's almost expected...

That's not weird at all..I have never thought of falling in love with a fictional character before but it's a good idea if your feeling lonely it brings up your hopes to find someone like that.

ha ha no but i think you are in love with the IDEA of him...you want a man like Edward, which honey is very hard to find (sadly), because sorry Edward Cullen is not real.

Well I sure hope not cuz I fall in love with the hero in almost every book I read...especially Ranger from the Stephanie Plum series....it's sad how bad I wish he was real ):

no
many people have fallen in love with characters from twilight , harry potter, lotr, and of course other books

I think it means the author is a really good at what they do and they formed the character really well.
Its easy to fall in love with a fictional character

Nope not weird at all. I love Edward too. I mean how can you not love him? But I'm not overly obsessive and I have other boys in my life. Haha but all my friends and I love Edward.....not Jacob though. sry lol.

Sorta, kinda. I don't think there's anything wrong with finding a character intellectually attractive or thinking, "If I knew a real guy like him, I'd be SOOO in love with him!" It only gets weird if you start to get obsessed with a character and you neglect real relationships because of it.
