As much as the public frowns on his marriage to Elvis' daughter, the birth of two children by another woman who merely bore his children.

I think record sales speak for themselves! Everyone who said that he isn't is only thinking about the FALSE accusations against him. They completely neglect (along with the media) to acknowledge him for his entertainment accomplishments. You can't tell me that the majority of the world doesn't know some part of the Thriller dance. You can't tell me that the majority of the world knows Michael Jackson's name over Mozart or Beethoven (and believe it or not more people do know his name over those two!) His entertainment style has been copied ever since he started singing. Think about it, Justin Timberlake sings like MJ, Chris Brown and Usher dance like MJ, Eminem and AFI make music videos that tell a story like MJ does. He is the greatest entertainer of all time and it is evident through his extreme influence on others from Prince to Justin Timberlake to Eminem to AFI.

..No way. Great entertainers in this lifetime would be in the class of Diana Ross, Cher, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Eric Clapton, George Strait, Aretha Franklin. Elvis Presley. Michael Jackson is a poor imitation of Greatness. He proves that every time he's in public.

yes he is a true legend just beacause of the things he did doesnt mean he still isnt a top entertainer im mean what is your defenition of a entertainer someone who makes a show that no body will forget well ask anyone if they know micheal jackson probely not very much if any will say they never heard of him

the only reason people dont like michael jackson or think hes a good performer is because his image
i think he is good =D
and yes i love his music
but i didnt like the fact the he changed his skin colour after making the song black&white
