Ok, to beat Horse Head you have to jump up and hit him in the head to do any damage. You should put Shield magic on for protection.

I would first run around and dodge his axes. In old games, bosses always have a pattern. Learn his pattern and when the time is right, jump up and hit him in the head. Keep dodging his axes and hitting his head and he should be down in no time.
