He shouldn't have done it to a chick. But you shouldn't have intervened either, but eh? Someone was bound to do it!

Sometimes it's best to walk away' Because, It's weird in some relationships people fight and then go back together and you become the bad guy! If you can just try to talk it out, violence does not be got violence. The reason why he was not quick to fight back is either because, he knew he was wrong or he was surprised to have someone stick up for a woman, cause he is a coward. You are a good man! Take care!

Theirs no reason to hit or fight anyone. I've gotten into a fair amount of scraps, however most of them were when I was like 18. Its so immature. However if I were you, you should of smacked the @#$% a couple of more times. Never should a guy (espically 6'2'' 210) man ever even think about touching a woman. Sure they might make you mad sometimes, but so does my boss. And I dont go around punching her in the face. It just aint right no matter what!

Hmm, kind of a hypocritical reaction (the whole "do as I say but not as I do" deal...or don't do...you know what I mean). I think some women or men who have the whole hero fantasy would applaud you, I think it would have been cool if you'd grabbed him by the collar and embarrassed him in front of people or something like that. Like yelled about what a huge man he is, he beats up women.
And btw, what a catch he is. I'm utterly shocked she cheated on him!

I honestly and truely believe you were right in hitting the guy. He cheated on his girlfriend and yet he hit her for being understandably angry? You should have done more than just hit him to the ground. Next time beat some sense into him and then tell him to go get some help for his anger issues and to not date another girl until he can be faithful, assume responsibilities for his actions and not fly off the handle if his girl calls him out on his bull crap.

I do think you were wrong to strike him. But I don't blame you for WANTING to. If the girl takes him back (which she probably will) then your strikes would have been meaningless and could get you in jail. Unless it is someone like your daughter I think you should stay out of it. Help her in other ways. Like if she really wants to break it off and needs guidance and support you could help in that way.

good for you any man that beats on women like that are cowards and deserve to be treated as such...
Unfortunately there is a flip side to that coin..if a woman puts herself in a mans place by attacking a man then the man should not be held accountable for defending himself, to a certain degree. This is a touchy subject and im sure that ill be berated for my answer but its what I have been taught and will stand by.

Nah, real men don't hit women. And real men don't cheat. And a real man could've walked away from an argument that he was having with his gal. He's a coward and a bully and used intimidation to get his way. Hope you told him...that's how a real man does things...man vs man not man vs woman. In my book you're alright! If I knew ya I'd buy you a beer! lol!

Massive hugs to someone that chose to do the right instead of looking the other way. Maybe you will make him think first before striking another person.

No he is a coward he was not expecting someone to stand up for her or for there beliefs. In my eyes he deserved it 100% and if he thinks about hitting her again hopefully he will remember how it feels to be hit.
