The best time to shave is during or after taking a shower, because the hair and follicles are softened and will come off easier (this goes for ANY area of your body!). If you can't do it during or after a shower, just try putting a warm, moist wash cloth over the area you're going to shave beforehand and letting it sit for a few minutes. This will not only make shaving easier, but it'll decrease the amount of itching or redness that you might get.
When you shave, use a good razor (a brand name is usually best, like Venus or Gillette <-- think I spelled that wrong, haha). Also use a moisturizing shaving cream. Skintimate makes some great ones that are definitely worth trying out.
After shaving, wipe any loose hair away with a warm, moist wash cloth. Then pat-dry the area with a clean towel (PAT PAT PAT! Don't rub the area dry or you'll be more prone to itchiness!). If you need to, use some moisturizing lotion afterwards--preferably an after-shave lotion or something marked specifically for sensitive skin or shaving, but regular moisturizing lotion should be okay.
If you do all this and still find yourself with a rash, I'd recommend seeing a doctor. I don't think it's serious at all, just putting that out on the table!
I hope that helps, hun! :)
P.S. - When shaving pubic hair, always trim it short first, then shave WITH the grain first. After you've done that, then shave LIGHTLY against the grain to get the last stubs. But if you can get it all going with the grain, that's even better!

The itchy rash is sometimes razor burn. i get that too sometimes. usually it will go away after you shave for a while, but if you don;t for a while and then start again it can happen. You might want to try a shaving cream or a razor for sensitive skin or else try waxing. Also it can sometimes be caused by ingrown hairs.

If you have recently started shaving your pubic hair, it is natural for it to be itchy. This should go in time. However, for some it is better to have a 'style' such as 'Brazillian' where not all hair is shaved off.

You need to check out products at the drug store in the shaving department. To find products that prevent or help with this problem. Also shaving there cause ingrown hair that are uncomfortable. Also using a dull razor does not help.Or one with more than 2 blades, and you should moisturize after shaving even your leg's.Good luck.

Get your hair removal done by a professional first and then make sure you keep up with the 'maintenance' by shaving on a regular basis. Make sure to use a new razor and don't press down on the skin too hard or you will irritate the skin. Good luck.

It's just the way your skin is reacting. It happens to me too. Try bikini zone cream. You can find it at any drug store. Use it right after shaving and it help reduce the bumps. Another alternative is waxing. I started having it professionally waxed one year ago and it's well worth the $50 every 5 weeks.

Sensitive skin or razor burn could be some of the reasons, but there's a possibility it's not. Ointment or skin cream is good for temporary relief, or in the meanwhile try waxing, bleaching, or one of those razorless shaving kits.
