Well I, with my friends planted and continue to nourish my elusive Zany tree.

I seem to remember I was present at a tree-planting ceremony in memory of an aunt of my mother's who passed away about 16 years ago....but I was only about 14 years old at the time....so I certainly did not have a "hands on" role. I may have helped in a very small way.
That is the only occasion I can think of!

Yes, GEM I have planted many trees. I love seeing things grow from the Earth. I think we have to plant a lot more to counteract the CO2 problem.

Yep.
And they die ...
every flippin' time!!!
Help me Green Earth Mom! LOL
Even the tree my students bought me in memory of my dad has died. =( How sad is that ... although you can't almost help but laugh at my "horticulturally" pathetic self!!
So although the attempts have been made ... the results have been futile. In honor of that ... I feel I need to write a poem ...
"Whoa is me ... I can't plant a tree!"
I cannot plant them in a box,
I cannot plant them among rocks...
I cannot plant them on a shelf.
I cannot plant them by myself.
I do not know what I'm to do ...
Perhaps I'll send them first to you?
So you may bless them with your thumb ...
For yours is green .. and mine is DUMB! =)
Help me! Help me! GEM my dear ...
Before I kill the next tree I'm near!
The end.
=)
Peace.

Well, over 2000. My father got little pine trees from the state of Michigan, and we hand planted 2000 of them on the acreage we had back then.
Kept us kids busy one year.

Personally, in kindergarten. But I'm guessing at least some of my taxpaying dollars have gone to planting trees somewhere.

I have transplanted umbrella trees that other
people threw out and put them in giant
clay pots.
But then, the new trees gave my
other umbrella tree bugs, so I threw out
the two transplanted trees and am saving
the older one.
