They'll do a pap smear if you haven't had one in the last year. You'll probably have to provide a urine sample. They might try to hear the heartbeat and maybe do an ultrasound. You might have some bloodwork done. Your doctor will give you a packet of information you might need about being pregnant and schedule your next appointment for the following month.

Congrats.
That's a good amount through the first trimester.
You didn't go before? We went then next available appointment after we found out, at about weeks after conception. We saw a "speck" and we were ecstatic.
Don't worry. at this appointment you will definitely have an ultrasound done, you will see the heart beating probably, you won be able to tell if the baby is a boy or a girl.
The doctor will have you make an appointment for a test to take a close look at the neural tube development of the fetus.
Lots of doctors seem to think insurance doesnt pay this, and the testing lab may send you a bill. You might have to insit that THEY send the bill to your insurance. At least thats what we did and then it was covered.

You are about to go into the smoothest period of the pregnancy.
