This is what I remember:

I saw this in the late 80s, early 90s - the movie itself seemed to take place in "modern" times. In this flick, a group of people (possibly an expedition team) found a dried-out skeleton. When this skeleton got wet or damp, it would grow flesh...one of the scenes I remember most is a finger/hand being the first to somehow get moist and get all fleshy.

After it became a fleshy zombie, it naturally would go around killing people.

That's it, that's all I can remember...Help if you can!! It's been driving me crazy for YEARS!

...you're talking about the creepy and grusome 1973 horror chiller, entitled "The Creeping Flesh", which starred Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee...

Sounds slightly like the Hills Have Eyes. It grew to become into an older action picture, yet they made a remake some years in the past. I observed the remake while it first got here out, and that i'm a splash rusty on the plot. even though it sounds lots like your description
