"What do I think?"....

I think it's pretty clear that you don't really understand or appreciate our free market economy...or the time, effort, energy and dedication it takes to play in the NFL!!

Q. How will reducing football players' salaries to$45K/year "balance out the economy"?

A. It won't. It would actually have a (short-term) NEGATIVE impact on the economy.

how do you figure this will balance the economy? $45,000 is not alot of money. that is just about what our household brings in. these players train their whole lives to play football and their bodies take a beating with every game and practice for that matter. this is just a plain stupid idea

i realize this question is a joke, but there are only a couple thousand people in the world that have the skillset of an NFL player - they are paid accordingly.

I've always thought that if professional athletes want to be in a union, they should be treated like all unions. Namely, the individual is ignored, and the group is treated as one. Let them all make the same amount of money, based on their year's of service.

Why? They're paid be private industry. If you don't want to pay their salary, don't by tickets or watch the games on TV.

If they took a salary cut like that, they would spend less money on burgers and fries, and then you would be out of a job

My opinion is that it's none of your damn business how much an NFL owner pays his players. You want to start a league? Do so. Otherwise, butt out.
