I'm on O2 and my phone is saying 'No Service' and I have zero signal everywhere I go, I've tried turning it on and off even taken out the battery and put it back in, but I still can't get any signal. People are trying to get hold of me but can't
Any ideas? Please reply

Hmm this is the second O2 coverage problem I have seen tonight. At first I thought it was probably a localised cell site issue but from the other answers we either have a lot of people using Yahoo answers in the same area geographically, O2 have a massive hole in coverage due to the loss of a BSC (Base Station Controller) or MSC (Mobile Switching Centre) or they have an HLR (Home Location Register) problem. Which one of those only O2 customer services could confirm.

EDIT - It appears to be affecting users in South Wales and the Bristol area so is likely to be an MSC issue as it's a rather large chunk of coverage that is affected. I was gobsmacked to learn that O2 customer services close at 8pm or 9pm depending how you bought it. Do they not think their customers need assistance after that time?
