~~~I'm going to have to say Ellen Degeneres. She's always giving stuff away to her audience and donating/raising money for different charities on her show.

true philanthropists do not give away in the public eye, they do it in private.
only celebrities who clamor for attention and press make such "magnanimous" gestures in public.
if you were going to adopt a child from some third world country, would you have your publicist announce it to the press first.
h.ell no you wouldn't.
these people "give" nothing.
they are totally narcissistic and doing these things publicly to assuage their own sense of guilt foe being successful and wealthy.
but you do tune in every day don't you and they continue to make more and more because you are watching. (I use the term "you" in the generic sense not the personal sense)

I'd say Ellen too. If anyone says Oprah they're delusional! She hardly gives her own money, and when she does she makes it public so everyone knows. Ellen does it in a more quiet and sincere way.

Ellen DeGeneres. She did 12 days of Christmas giveaways and she is always giving to people throughout the entire year.

I think Oprah was the pioneer. I am just glad with all the wealth that any talk show host, gives back. Her Angel Network, does great things all year long, too.

if your talking about giving stuff away i really don't know. if you are talking about giving as in talking and helping with contemporary issues then i would have to say Montel. he seems to be one of the most caring talk show hosts.there to inform and to help.

Yes, I agree, Ellen! She even "gave" me entertainment while all other shows weren't filming due to writer's strike!
