Many political analysts feel that invading Iraq based on nonsense was the worst foreign policy disaster, and the consequences for this-- beyond loss of blood and treasure-- have yet to be written.
The second worst was the Vietnam War. We fought for the wrong reasons when we should have stayed out, and we stayed WAY too long.
Anyway, there are a LOT of really stupid answers here, based on petty right-wing resentments.
1)Jane Fonda visiting North Vietnam did not hurt us in the least. It merely annoyed some people, who 35 years later still cannot let it go!
2) The Democrats did NOT surrender in Vietnam, unless Nixon was a Democrat.
3)Carter did not "allow" Islamic radicals to take over Iran-- NO ONE could have stopped it. What the hell was he supposed to do-- bomb them into extinction?
4)Clinton being President, far from being a foreign policy disaster, actually was a time when we were admired and respected in the world. We no longer are.
I'm surprised some pusillanimous asswipe didn't mention cigars while they were at it. Note that none of these ignorami allow emails.

1. Failing to intervene against the Axis 1933 - 1942.
2. Allowing the French and British to divide up the Middle East instead of insisting on independent elections under League of Nations supervision 1918 - 1921.
There are a lot of smaller errors, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths, but these were the big ones, resulting in tens of millions of deaths with more to come before the problems are solved.

Arming and supporting the Jihadist Arabs and Saddam Hussein in the 1980s was bad.
When I think about it there was probably a worse blunder in Cambodia or Vietnam in the 1960s/70s, but I don't know as much about those times (they were a little before my time).
