I have read both Five People You Meet in Heaven as well as For One More Day. I found I did spend some time reflecting on how my life may have impacted on others.Of course we can never truly know how we affect everyone we meet,no matter how briefly. EDIT to Always Thinking, I think you might enjoy these books. They are both very intersting reads and give you a little different perspective on life and death.I find that it may alter how you think about life and the people you meet. It's worth a try.Take care.

EDIT to Vanessa, I ahve not read Tuesdays with Morrie but I've heard it is also a great book. I only heard of Mitch Album by chance (or maybe not).I usually prefer mystery and suspense books.Take care.

For One More Day is a nostalgic trip back to childhood - that period of time that never lets you go, even when you're so wrecked it's hard to believe you ever were a child.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven is superb. This story emphasises that things happen for a reason and even if things do not work out as we plan they can work out anyway.
This book forces us to contemplate our lives from the standpoint of forks in the road, what ifs, the choices we make in life and the consequences they carry along.

Tuesday's with Morrie probably held the most inspiration for me from Albom's books. It's a reminder to appreciate the simple, little things in life. It's a reminder that when you're dead, the things you've accumulated and the things you've done will disappear. What will remain is the ways that you've affected or touched other people.
This is a simple book with simple messages.
Live fully and in the moment. Treat others with respect, kindness, love, and dignity. Seek joy.

Which book??? The five people you meet in Heaven... absolutly loved that book. It really made me think about how everything is connected and we will all have a chance to right the wrongs in our life... what a great author!

Hey Gussie,

Well I read only a lot of horror and sci-fi stuff. So I don't really get a lot of introspective lessons.

I haven't read the book yet. But I have heard about it. I think my impact all the time. The way I think, why I think the way I do.

Is there a reason for it? you know?
