I did the same thing. When I first got off the pill I knew exactly when my period was SUPPOSED to come. After I got off the pill it never came regularly. It would be a week late one time and then two weeks early another. I was nervous and anxious so I just took HPT everytime I was "late" and if they came back negative I would be disappointed but then just wait for my period to come. I was off the pill almost exactly 3 months before I got pregnant. But everyone is different. For some people it can happen very quickly and for some it can take a year or more to get pregnant. I would just suggest to stay calm and try a HPT when you are late and go from there. It will not hurt anything to take the HPT. Don't stress too much about it. Good luck!

I got pregnant less than a month off birth control, I didn't even get my period after I stopped the pills. So I got pregnant within a few weeks. Maybe it is throwing off your period though because it has happened to my friends like that, their first period off the pill came late. Take a test though, because this 10 week old baby growing inside me is proof if can happen the month off the pill! Good luck!

I think it does take a little while to get birth control out of your system, but everyone is different and some people get pregnant while they are on birth control... since you already missed your period its okay to take a pregnancy test, if the results are negative it's probably just your body getting used to not being on the pill anymore... if you dont start your period in like another week though I would call the doc and have a blood pregnancy test done. Good luck!

If you have had sex recently, I think it's obvious that you could be pregnant. People get pregnant WHILE they are on the pill. I'm pretty sure that it does not stay in your system for longer than a month. But when you put hormones into your body, the time it takes to get back to normal can vary for everyone. The only way to know if you're pregnant is to wait for your period or take a test. If you're stressing, whether it be in a positive or negative way, you can affect your hormones and therefore your period.

Actually it could be either situation. Your cycle could be adjusting OR you could be preggo.
Your BC only really stays in your system for 24 hours (thats why they tell you to take it at the same time every day).
My suggestion is go get a test, wait till the morning to take it (your first pee of the day when the hormone is most concentrated) and see what happens. If Neg and you still don't have it, wait a few days and test again (the preggers hormone doubles in 48 hours).
Try not to worry too much, I know it's impossible, but the stess could delay it more. GOOD LUCK!

It sounds plausible. I know this is an akward question but when was the last time you've concieved... The best thing to do is take the test. With most birth control pills it takes 2 weeks to get out of your system, so if you concieved after that 2 weeks then yes it is possible that you are pregnant.

I know that the pill can throw your body into a little fit for awhile and your periods can be delayed or even missing. I came off the pill and missed a period and was stressing big time, i did a test and it was negative and a month later my periods returned to normal.
Don't stress - your body is just adapting to the change.

Is a possibility, once you stop the pill or even skip more than one you are fertile again, that happened to me, I wanted to have a baby so I stopped using it, the next month I was pregnant, but it could also be the body reaction to the withdrawal of the pill. Get an EPT.

The pill causes 'breakthrough' bleeding when you have your week when you don't take it. As you have stopped taking the pill, your body has to learn to menstruate again. This can inevitably affect your cycle. Leave it a week or so, then if you have not had your period see your doctor for a test.
Try not to stress as this will only delay your period further.
Good Luck xx

If you miss one day of the pill you can get pregnant. If you are not consistent with the time of day you take the pill, it increases the chance of getting pregnant.
Yes, stopping the pill can mess up your cycle, because it is a hormonal thing. The pill is a hormone and once you stop it, you change the balance of hormones in your body.
