Hi, last Friday I was 25 weeks pregnant and went in to get my first u/s to find out the sex...Well baby didn't want to show his/her stuff....I was disappointed but the doc said he would schedule me for another u/s at a technicians office. Anyways my question is did this happen to anyone else on here? If so, did your baby cooperate the next time? Also, my doc said my baby was really low could this cause any problems as far as position? Sorry for such a boring question, but easy 2 points I guess.

At my 20 week with my daughter she didn't show us anything at all and the tech tried for about 30 minutes. I had to wait until 28 weeks to find out she was a girl. Fortunately, with this pregnancy, we found out at 19 weeks we are having a boy. I've been carrying my baby low but he's now moving up. Carrying low won't cause problems.

I've heard of this happening to alot of people, luckily my baby cooperated, and I also had a 3D 4D ultrasound and when I had this one they could see that he was a little boy too, the best advice I got before my ultrasound was to drink Orange Juice, its healthy for your baby and the acid in the juice really gets your baby moving, also when you go for your next ultrasound and the technician tells you the baby wont cooperate ask her if theres any way you can move around and try to get your baby to move. Luckily my technician didn't "give up" until she found out the sex!

My daughter did that at my 20 week to tell her sex.
She didn't wanna cooperate with anything. Finding out the sex OR doing the bone growth.
They gave me juice and let me walk around for a good 30 minutes, they let me use the bathroom, and bounce a bit. It worked. I found out she was doing good for her growth and that she was a girl.

Being low, can be A HUGE problem for a Level 2 sonogram.

It's not a boring question. It happened to my sister last year, but the second she saw the sex. It was a princess. She told me that maybe the baby was shy or something lol. There's nothing to be worry about. The baby is fine :)

That happened to me but it was at 20 wks and I did not have any other ultrasounds done. So SHE was a surprise! It seems that girls "hide" more then boys do. I hear that happen more often with the girls than the boys. I am sure they will be able to tell at your next one. I kinda liked the surprise part of it. My fiance says when we have one he "has" to know, but I would kinda rather not know. But I am sure I will do it for him. Good luck!

my baby didn't want to show herself at the first u/s. she did at the second. and baby girls usually don't really show themselves as much as baby boys.
