They actual are allowing everyone in the nation to see the Patriots game this weekend. The NFL Network is allowing CBS and NBC to show the game. Can you believe it?

The NFL Network's programming sucks, which is why cable companies don't want to include in their basic package... outside of the 8 NFL games shown on the NFL network, their programming basically consists of endless reruns of traning camps and combines.... the NFL is not a year-round business in terms of having any programming worth watching...

One good thing the network does is show every play of one of the games played during the previous weekend... (NFL Instant Replay)..and they do it without the pauses between plays, which is good... however, then they repeat it about 20 times during the week, which is absurd. And they do it showing the same game...they could show all the games that way, THEN it might be worth subscribing to....during the season, that is.

But in reality, their programming sucks, and the cable companies should be applauded for not forcing that crappy network down our throats in the basic package (the rates that the NFL demands per subscriber are also totally outrageous).

It has nothing to do with the fans.

Did anyone see that article on yahoo? It said that tickets for the game are selling at SUPER BOWL PRICES.

That means that the NFL is opening it up to two more networks so they can have more advertising space to fill! With a Super-bowl like game, the NFL wants as much ad $$$ as possible!

The NFL and the team owners, don't give a rat's rear end about the fans. This is strictly damage control and public relations. Once this game is over, it will be business as usual. The owners want your $$$$$$, and they are going to get it eventually. No need to get warm feelings for these barracudas.

To sgoldper up above, you hit the nail sqarely on the head! Thank You.

They don't really care, they just got tired of everyone pointing out they don't care about the fans. If they cared they wouldn't have put the games on the NFL Network on the first place, espically the Saturday games that had been part of Network TV for the past couple years. They switched them this year because they wanted to try to force more people to get their Network. To be honest I don't care about this game. This one could have been kept on NFL Network and I wouldn't have missed it.

It's not that they care. Most people were not going to pay.

Besides the Colts game, the Pats games were amazingly boring and this won't be much better with the Giants playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers.

I probably will watch the Alamo Bowl instead.

They want NFL fans to witness history. It's almost like the NFL knows the Patriots will win, like it's stage. Just a theory.

NFL Network is a mess. I don't blame the cable companies for not giving access to everyone..I blame NFL Network for making it hard for them to do it.

This is the dumbest **** I've ever heard. If you're a football fan you should have the NFL network. There is absolutely no reason for one game to be on three channels. This is retardation at it's fullest extent of retardationism. They used political muscle to get this on the local networks. What a waste of everything. Whoever was behind this should be put in jail. Blah, blah blah blah blah. The only thing that would make this right is if the Patriots lost, and the entire nation was watching.

Hard to believe. The NFL NETWORK is a flop. All they did was piss off the fans. I hope they learn from this.

Don't matter to me. It's a local game for me, as I'm a 45 min drive outside Boston. I also get the NFL Network. Either way I win.
