the 9800xt only comes in ONE version: 256 bits bus width and 256MB DDR memory interface; a 128bit or even 64 bits bus width are mid or entry level cards; all 9800 cards came with DDR memory interface only, which is the memory technology used for the card; DDR (Double Data Rate) is mostly used for computer main memory whereas GDDR are derivations made by video card chip manufacturer (ATI or NVidia, mostly) specifically for Graphic cards. this also applies to newer generations (DDR2 and DDR3 versus GDDR2, 3 or 4)

9800XT has 256bit memory interface. It is the 9800 Pro that comes in 256/128 bit versions.
