why be greedy and rush your answer just for extra points i would rather take my time and think about some answers, plus if you think of a great answer you get 10 great points anyway, which you would have missed just by rushing to be the first.

Wow, i have been thinking the same thing, I mean its not too often that you are the first one to answer a question. At least you should be able to get 1 exra point or 5!=]

Not when you are the first to answer, but maybe an extra set of points when you reach a new level instead of that woohoo message.

No. Just because some people happen to get there sooner than others isn't a reason for bonus credit. Besides, it may be an inane answer, in which case, you certainly don't want to give that person any credit at all.

Why should you get extra points for putting less thought into your answer?

i think you should get more points for leaving detailed answers when a person really needs help. i hate when people leave one word answers when your asking a complicated question. the other say i asked for advice on losing weight. someone answered cut calories and exercise. well duh any person trying to lose weight is oviously going to know that lol. i wish they didnt even get the 2 points for that lol..

No, the first to answer already has an advantage if the question goes into voting.

no--then you would get a lot of answers that aren't good just because people are trying to get points.
