You can no longer make videos longer than 10 minutes. Originally, accounts could make longer videos, but this has been suspended. HOWEVER, people with older accounts were allowed to keep this ability. So this guy just has an old account

I don't know where others are coming with these kind of answers but it IS possible to have videos longer than 10 minutes without being a director. You just have to mess with the seeitngs of YouTube. I'm not really an expert on this but I'll tell you what I do know.

First of all, you need to mess with the video with a program called hex. The settings have to be modified (don't know to what) so that way YouTube can accept the video. It's a very complicated procedure but there are forums dedicted to this kind of topic. Just find the forums and you'll find out how to make videos longer than 10 minutes.

Some people upload videos which are over 10 minutes so it is possible. Just upload and and see if it works or not, if it doesn't, split the video into parts.

Whoa, I have no idea how he does that! o_O

I don't think his director account type has anything to do with it. I sure would like to know the answer to this as well!

EDIT - his videos are only weeks old so I don't think it's because he did them before the 10 minutes max video length came into force.
