My wife gave me a USB Turntable for X-mas. I barely know how to use my computer and have a fear of technology and have yet to even copy one song from a cd to my computer because I don't know how. Is the process of recording my albums onto the computer as easy as the picture on the USB seems - it shows a wire from the turntable to the computer.

Please be gentle, I'm really new to all of this!!

Hi Fear not because even if you make a mistake (which is the best way of learning) it won't hurt the vinyl. This really is an easy thing to do. If it came with a CD then run that first. Pick a vinyl record, plug the USB plug into a USB port on your computer (it only goes in one way) and get ready to play as you would back in the day.

The general process for these types of devices is to: 1. Install the software that comes with the product, 2. connect the product to the computer with the included cable and let the system find the new device and install the drivers (which should have been done as part of step (1). 3. Start the application software installed in step (1).
