I actually had to deal with this myself!! Okay, you may have passed the point of no return and may need a plumber. Honestly what you need to do is get a long wire, its called a SNAKE i believe, tear that thing up and stick is down the drain and try to hook whatever it is. This is pretty much what the plumber will do also, and you'll save yourself a couple hundred bucks. Maintenence is key with this. I would have the roomies chip in (whatever agreement you have with household supplies) get the strongest Draino you can get (the gel seemed to work best for me) and do it once a week at night and just leave it there over night then run the hot water in the morning. This will dissolve all the hair and whatever else you got going on living with boys haha. Unfortunately now, it sounds like the Draino isnt working (probably because of the lack of maintenence), so get that snake down there and start scooping!! Good luck girlfriend, I've been there!!!!

Do you have a cover with holes on it over where the water goes in the drain from your shower....I certainly hope you do....lots of hair daily sticks to the cover with holes in it....clean it and wipe it up daily.....if not your shower will be plugged forever!!! Drano and all that junk seldom works......try using a toilet plunger over and over to loosen it up....it may be necessary for you to use a snake and stick it in the hole and turn and turn......this will loosen up the hair. You must clean the hair daily!!!!!

You could try Liquid Plumbr.

Meanwhile, ask Fuzzball to clean up after himself. It's unfortunate I know: I'm a bit of a shedder too, and my husband and I share the house with a pair of thick-furred cats. But it simply isn't right that you have to clean up after these able-bodied guys.

Good luck!

You have to get a drain bulidup remover, like this -

You can get them at HomeDepot, and they work. Give it about 3 days of treatments.
