ok. no. im chinese and i do not dicriminate or think im better. it is just because fast food evolved in the us and gets people "fat" so they usually imply that with the americans. but it does not mean anythin mean to the americans. im chinese and i say that but not all the time. it is mostly talkin about the fats food. and anyways. i hav many american friends and i will never call them anything like that so it does not mean that we are better than the americans. no it doesn not mean that, i dont like people gettin the wrong idea about chinese people or other asians. & china is very hi tech right now. not like you might probably seen in movies that we live in huts and so. no. those are the really rural places.

Dude Japanese and Chinese aren't the only people calling Americans fat. The whole WORLD is saying Americans are fat! Americans ARE fat! By saying that only JAPANESE and CHINESE call Americans fat is a lie, because basically everyone calls us fat.
By saying that Americans are fat is kind of true. We ARE the country with the highest BMI (Body Mass), followed by Mexico and the UK.
And if you go outside into the US you will see that basically EVERYONE you see is fat! Truly! They have a belly and everything!
Of course there are always these exceptions, but as an American I am declaring that compared to everyone else, we are fat.

Not satisfaction.
It's like seeing a person who is buying whatever they want to and putting them on a credit card and keep getting into debt.
It's the fact some American people don't eat healthy. Asian people try to eat a lot of vegetables or other stuff that is considered healthy to them but it is not in American culture as much as Asian cultures.
So it's basically "they are calling us skinny because we have high metabolism, but we eat different than they do, too. Why aren't they trying to watch what they eat?" type thing I believe.
Just like, " She is saying she is in huge debt but she keeps spending without watching it!"

Well our cusine is not very well developed.
We lead a very busy working life without any time to take care of ourselves.
I am a born and raised american but I have to say the European system is better.
In America we drive and that is why we are fat. We have a suburb system not a city system. Americans who live in cities which have good public transportation systems (including access by walking) have thinner people.
Most Americans live in Suburbs and use a Car to go to work or to the stores for daily needs. Then they spend 8 hours a day sitting at work. They don't walk.
Asians live either in cities or on farms. Either ways city folk or farming folks in Asia do alot of walking.

Your question has taken away the responsibility of the individuals concerned (the obese) and somehow accused 'Asians' of being power-hungry racists who can only achieve satisfaction by mocking a nation for it fat, lazy people!
Aren't obesity levels high in the US? Doesn't the USA consume the most of everything?
So no, I do not believe that Japanese and Chinese people are laughing at the US for having so many fat people. They may get a fear that the Americanisation of their nations may cause health problems for their people, but satisfaction? No.

Dude...
If you're fat, your're fat. No, if and or butts. Fat is fat!
It's not just Japanese and Chinese that are saying this. It's Europe too. Whenever I get lost in Europe I just follow the fat Americans with the dorky tennis shoes. I kid.

In my experience, Chinese people (from People's Republic of China) are interested in us, and fascinated by us, as outsiders. I am not sure that our relative fatness is as big an issue in any sense of possible feelings of superiority as the newness of our culture compared to theirs. I am tall (5 feet 7 inches) and have red hair, so I stand out in PRC. I speak Mandarin pretty well, which isn't initially suspected when I'm in China, and I have overheard exchanges about my being "dah," which means "big." I am not fat, but I'm not skinny, and I'm larger than most Chinese women, or men, for that matter. The overheard conversation didn't seem as much looking down on me, as surprised. I have always found Chinese people to be willing to meet me halfway, and judge me on my own individual merits.
Not sure what experiences you've had, but don't read anything in that probably isn't there.

what is your problem. First off, everybody knows that the world would be better off if we avoided racist comments like "all americans are fat." but that's what happens sometimes, and second, not all "Asians" think this. Also, anyone else could have said this, like a Polish guy, and what about the American born people with an Asian ethnic background. Anyway, to answer your question, whoever said that probably said it to make themselves feel higher up than you, and racism is common.

No, they are simply expressing fact. There are a few Japanese and Chinese individuals who are overweight, but obesity seems to be a serious health compromise to many of the population of our nation. Obesity results from our diet choices, inactivity, rationalization, denial, and habit. I control my weight by consuming a lot of green vegetables, a baked potato maybe twice weekly, only 3-4 slices of 9 grain bread, real butter, more seafood than animal meat, and regulated serving sizes. It works, I maintain my size 10 without difficulty, and feel and look pretty good.

Yes. But, don't feel bad, because not ONLY does Asia think American's are fat, but every other country thinks so too! You gotta admit though, Americans ARE fat.
