My co-worker prances around the office in a fake burberry scarf and fake coach purse.... and knock off uggs. She acts like she is big sh*t and pretends they are real. The funny part is they are really bad fakes- I can tell their fake instantly but she had the nerve to ask me if my coach was fake- which it is NOT. I do not carry fakes or buy them since most of them are made in illegal factories that use child slave labor.
Do you carry fakes? Can you tell the difference??
I have a textiles and fashion degree and background so maybe it's just easy for me to tell the difference?

well some people are not as fortunate as you are to be able to afford nice purses, but if that girl actually acts like that... thats pretty funny! what an idoit! she acts like she is the sh** and carries around fake **** and then actually askes you if your purse if fake! haHA! did you tell her about her fake purse? that would be funny!

I've seen some really good knock-off purses and watches. My g/f actually has a really nice fake chanel purse it looks, feels, and smells like a real leather purse. It even came with a fake certificate of authenticity!
She gets compliments all the time and people ask her about the price and where she got it all the time.
I even had a friend that had a fake Rolex and he took it to a watch repair shop to get it sized and the clerk told him he couldn't size it because it's a Rolex and it needed to be done at an authorized location.
Besides, what does it matter that someone has a fake one or not? Some people can't afford to pay or refuse to pay that kind of money.

I can tell as well, and I think there are a few different types of fakes because I've seen some decent ones and some awful ones (the ones they sell at the straw market in the Bahamas are awful - the so-called leather feels like vinyl). To me, I can tell the difference in fabric or leather from a mile away tho. I've carried Coach bags for years and years and love them.
Your co-worker sounds more like she has an attitude problem than a fake Coach problem tho!

I have several Coach bags -- some from the mall and some from an outlet -- and a couple of copies of Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, and Prada. I rarely use any of them anymore because I have a Le Sportsac that I love! I used to care about labels when I lived in Los Angeles and wanted to be trendy, but now that I am in Hawaii I realize that very few people here care about that kind of thing. It's really not all that important when it comes down to it. I'm much more proud of my ability to do my job well and be a good parent than I am of my bags and accessories.

I like buying real stuff too, but I could care less if someone has a knock off. To each their won. If they say it's real, and i can tell it's not, then that sort of pisses me off, but whatever. I know a few people that can get some really good fakes, but still, it's a fake.

I have some fakes, some reals. Frankly if I see a purse, wallet, top, shoes, whatever that I like and can afford I get it, I'm not so hung up on names and what-not. I too have a fashion degree and while I do think quality is key, I don't think fashion is only about "who" your wearing.
It is pretty wierd that she's lying about it tho, I don't brag about my fakes, I just use them for the intended purpose and let that be it. maybe she just really likes her stuff....fake or not

Personally I know that I will never carry a fake, same as you. But some people who can't afford the real ones like to pretend and try to feel good about themselves by buying fakes. I personally can tell when somebody has a fake too but most people really cannot tell. All I can tell you is to just ignore your coworker and remember that you are real.

You can just about tell every fake coach. Chanel is something though that is hard to tell. They look real. I have a fake one and tons of people come up to me asking me if its real. I tell them its fake though. I have real coach purses. They are a lot better than knock offs! :]]

It doesn't matter if she has fakes. If they look practically the same, what's the difference? Other than price.
However, it's weird if she pretends and tells people that they're real. Why bother? I have a mix of fake and real stuff, and just tell the truth! (real Uggs, fake coach).
It's probably just really easy for you to tell. Honestly, I can almost never tell the difference!

I can't tell fake coach bags since I only carry a hello kitty purse, but I can tell you what real wine does to you, since I am drinking it right now. Oh yeah, wine and chocolate saves the day again........
