OK so a router is a separatw device that you purchase and connect to your broadband cable modem or DSL modem. It in turn manages your wired or wireless network.
Most new laptops come with a wireless adapter that can connect to most wireless routers.
Which laptops are better? What are your choices?
Dell/HP are usually good, Acer makes a decent one.

I like mine its advent, urm a router has to be connected to a modem as other answer said, i use a router and it will only work if the laptop you buy is wireless enabled

the router is a separate device you need to buy,no computer comes with a router built in
