There are a lot of people that have had bad experiences with EBAY, but they failed to do the research before they jumped in and bought.

First of all, know whatever the value of what you are buying.

Before charging headlong into this buy, though, determine exactly what the shipping cost is plus any taxes and add this to the highest price you are willing to pay for the item. This might be the total price, but email the seller and ask about any handling chg. If there is one, add this to the total and this is what you'll pay.

Second, with this information, you can make a judgment as to what you are willing to pay for an item and bid accordingly.

Also, be wary of anyone who hasn't been with Ebay very long and selling an expensive product. Checking their feedback is a good thing to do, but if they don't have much history, that isn't a very good indicator. If they have been a member for a couple years and have a slew of sales and a high percentage of good feedback, you are relatively safe, but still, ask questions to the seller and communicate.

Hope this helps.

i have in fact i have made over 60 purchases on ebay--
i must say most of them are disapointing---i restored a 1987 jeep
and most of the peices i purchased thru ebay---most of them i was expecting in better condition then they showed up--my own fault for continueing to buy overall i would say 60 purchases with 50 let downs====dont bother leaving negative feedback for someone or they will just do the same to you---ruining your good rep--
