I have met quite a few celebs over the years, but I knew one chap that was a perfect gentleman that lived not too far from me, and he was wonderful, always kind and curtious and even if he would wear an old sack for his clothes he would still look dressed up to the nines. It was dear old Bob Monkhouse (r.i.p.), what a star !
I once met and shook hands with my motorcycle idol Mike Hailwood (r.i.p.), what a lovely man.
I also met Micheal Barrymore, and all I can say is this, he had some very unhealthy (and I dont mean sick) hangers on with him, and if I never see him again that would be a day too soon.
Also met,
Ozzy Osborne, David Essex, Shane Richie, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Tony Blair (before PM), Prince Andrew (at the Duke of York's School in Dover), Yoko Ono, and so many others it would sound like name dropping.

Madonna at her concert. Wasnt surprised by her appearance, since she was performing, ofcourse all that makeup was smeraed all over. She looked no different then she did on tv.. but, despeite the fact I knew she was small, it was shocking to see just how small she really is!! It was 2004 and I had tickets for the pit, so she was literally.. right there.
I have seen Kelly Ripa up close, looked a lot different, because she had no makeup.

The Queen.
Tony Bennett.
Billy Connolly.
Tom Jones.
Jock Stein.
Kenny Dalglish.
Jim Baxter.
Tommy Steel.
Lena Martell.
Dick McTaggart.
Sugar "Ray" Robinson.
The biggest shock was Tony Bennett who turned out to be quite small as was the Queen and with too much make-up on.

Well my older sister's best friend is John Cena (the wrestler from WWE raw) so I have met John Cena. But I don't really think he looks that differnet than he does in magazine pictures or on TV. But that's probably because I don't watch wrestling.

Yep, I know Ant and Dec and there a lot smaller than on the tele (but just as charming!). I've also recently met Robbie Williams who looked rough as hell, he is a total chav and not at all attractive, it was such a let down. Don't belive the hype ladies!!!!

At your question, why they sometimes seem to be different from pictures Some have there face rebuild(many cheekbone constructions by plastic surgery).
Some celebrities are realy modest and very nice like Jean Reno & Simon Crane, yes those 2 I know in real and are very sweet.

I've met Ricky Tomlinson. Seen Jamie Redknapp and Louise Redknapp walking there pet bull dog. My dad is friends with a guy from Brookside. I've seen Katrina from Brookside shopping and she said hi and smiled at me lol. (Brookside is for UK people if you Americans are wondering).
Suzanne Collins (Nikki Shadwick from Brookside) lives 5 mins from me. They are not really famous though apart from Jamie Redknapp.
