Listen to the jiggle, the rumble, and the snores --
as she rolls along ghettoes, the bowery and the stores--
she's the pride of the seniors and known quite well by all --
expressly for the seniors, the New Years Cannon Ball.

I wonder where the Yahoo system would have wanted to put it if you had typed an O after the Slumberland Express? I usually am waiting at the station to take that same train...alone!
I got the strangest phone call in the middle of giving this Q a reply...now THAT'S what I call a ringing sensation in the ears!

Planning to have a nice dinner out, then watch tv at home for the rest of the evening with a glass or 2 of wine and watch the ball fall in Time Square even though its an hour ahead of my clocks here in TX then take the trip to La La land.

I agree with Mr Ed... NYE is amateur night. People who go out on NYE probably haven't been out drining since LAST NYE.

If I go out on NYE, I make sure I have a reservation somewhere and take a cab to and from my house and the place I'm going.

Sometimes it's a party at a friend's house but if I do that, it's sleeping on the floor or taxi time, again.

We don't go out on New Year's Eve, so we will be watching a movie and then watching the ball go down in Times Square, and toast each other with a glass of wine. Then we will watch it in the other time zones, and more toasting, and then we will go to bed because we have to get up early and go to New Year's brunch at my daughter's house!

I used to have to work almost every New years day so I slept thru it, but the last two years Im off on New Years and my brother's frat gives a huge lavish affair so I dress up my 84 y/o Dad and we go to the party.....I dont want to leave him home alone and he enjoys looking at the pretty ladies..I want him to enjoy his golden years and be a part of life!

I'll be eating takeout while watching TV, and finally end the evening with a spectacular nap on the sofa as I sleep through midnight again this year. It's gonna be great!

A nice dinner, some wine, gotta eat herring at the stroke of midnight for good luck and health, and then to bed. Boring? Not really, at least we're at home safe and sound. Happy New Year Everyone!
