I like America, but the racism really scares me, especially since the Government isn't doing anything to help lessen it, like pass laws etc.

I was born in the UK and still live there now - and I definately feel lucky to be a British citizen - because so many people want to be one! When I hear about frightening world events, I feel safe here, and although the weather can be a bit rubbish, it's definately a great country to live in (especially the south, near London where I reside right now!)

To answer the question, I doubt most young people are that smart... They are use to things given to them and do not feel that they have to work to obtain and keep their blessings. Yes I do realize how lucky I am to be born here. I am blessed with my parents, healthy children and the country to give me the advantage to have the ways to keep and obtain. My son was disabled due to injury and alive because of the doctors and hospitals and long lived by the grace of God. He was not suppose to live... Yes I am blessed and very lucky. I wish you the blessings and good things where ever you are..

Sometimes I get very frustrated with my land of birth, but then I remind myself of gifts it has given me and the tolerance and kindness that I witness everyday. Sure there are bigoted idiots, mindless thugs and morons out there but they are the minority. Remember this country gave the world democracy, abolished the slave trade (yes we traded in slaves) cricket rugby and football (at which we often dismally fail) and countless inventions that have helped the human race. No we are not perfect but I suppose the characteristic I like most about Great Britain is that we do not take ourselves too seriously and that we can admit when we are wrong.

Which country? If you're talking about USA, then I can say that I realize that this is a great country and appreciate all those who have died and fought to give me all the freedoms and priviledges I have here. I'm proud to be an American.

If you are talking about British People, they are so very lucky, so fortunate. They get free medication, free housing, can claim benefits and then still moan about it. They should go live in SA where Hospitalisation cost a fortune and those who are unemployed cannot claim anything.
