of course, why would any gm be retarded enough to give a guy who cant shoot, who cant hit FT, who has zero offense to his game, 60 million dollars. did i mention he is 30 something years old? and he isnt even doing what he is supposed to, which is getting steals, rebounds, and blocks.

Are you kidding me !?!
Ben Wallace is Under Rated if anything !!
for his height he has the most difficult job in the league .. hes 2 small 2 be a threatening center and to big to play a fitting power forward
BUT wen i say that i say this
even tho of his size he still plays hard and does his job .. hes a dominant inside player and dont even think about shooting the ball anywhere around him or youll see that same ball 10 rows in2 the seats
without him the detroit pistons would have never been contenders when they traded him that fitting puzzle piece was now missing, big ben chauncey rip and tayshuan were the perfect threat to the league.
not to mention ppl like coleman and a couple others addin depth to there bench
I once thought the pistons had one of the better managements until they couldnt pay ben and let em go.
but final thought ben wallace is definately under rated !!

i don't think he's overrated. but its been a while since he's proven himself.
he played hard and won defensive player of the year awards while in detroit and it got him a good contract with chicago. its just he had a good fit in detroit and a system that worked for him. he also had a better team in detroit. but if you remember last years playoffs he was the main reason the bulls upset the heat. ben did a amazing job guarding shaq, as he did when the lakers played the pistons for the championship (which detroit won). wallace, now on a team with so much uncertainty and poor chemistry it's taken its tole on him as have his various early season injuries. he is without a doubt on the downside of his career, so his number do not look good next to the contract he signed. but for many years you always heard how underrated he was... ever since he signed that contract he's now overrated.
go figure.
