I love action and a fast paced book. Got any good ideas.

Vince Flynn's novels are all fast-paced, action stories. Term Limits is the first one he wrote.

You may enjoy Robert Ludlum's Bourne trilogy, too.

For supernatural thrillers, I'd recommend books by Frank Peretti like The Oath, the Veritas Project books (Hangman's Curse and Nightmare Academy), This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness (among others).

Perhaps you would enjoy some spy-type thrillers like John Le Carre's Smiley's People (and other novels of his) or Frederick Forsythe's books like The Day of the Jackal (and others).

You may also enjoy The Last Jihad by Joel C. Rosenberg and other books by him.

Some mystery books, in my opinion, are fast-paced and full of tension. For instance, Catherine Coulter's FBI series starting with The Cove is like that. You may also enjoy Agatha Christie's mysteries like And Then There Were None or The Mousetrap.

"The Traveler" by John Twelve Hawks. It's the fastest-paced thriller/sci-fi I can recommend-- and as for the Sci-fi part, that is only because it's supposed to be set a few years in the future.

But it gets you right here. It could be happening now. I have read the book more than once and still have to keep those pages turning.
There was supposed to be a sequel to it out in summer '07, but I didn't see it yet. But I don't shop at Christmas time, so maybe it's out now.

It will most likely be in paperback; "The Traveler" is, and in the inexpensive size as well. If you see both, check then out and maybe buy both.
It's probably at a library too.
Luck--

DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown are action-packed and very quick.

I also personally enjoy Bernard Cornwell's novels, particularly the Sharp books, but they're not quite as fast-paced as Brown's books.

Enjoy!
