get an algebra book and study the parts that you aren't familiar with
and *prac tice* the parts you ARE familiar with
factoring. factoring ... word problems
tho if you stop to think about it, "placement" tests aim to put you in classes that you need work in anyway ... "boning up" on placement tests might put you into classses that you';re not prepared for
good luck ... "do the homeowrk" and study what you don't understand

College algebra covers a lot more than a high school algebra class. You'll want to review whatever classes you took before. If you took good notes and saved them, this shouldn't be much of a problem. Otherwise, find a college algebra text book or workbook to work with. Find out what topics the college courses cover.

Contact your college's math dept or dean's office to see if they give past copies of the math exam (I know we do); if not, speak with someone to get their advice what will be covered on the exam. No one else is in as good a situation to know what will be on that particular test than your college staff and faculty.

5 minutes per day when you go to sleep. After 3 or 2 days you study 20 minutes. Then you go back to 5 minutes per day. That's how I studied and I learned REAL fast.
You'll also need to answer so questiosn here to improve. Think of challenge questions and research online. Or just ask us a normal question if you have something you don't understand.

I very much agree with the answerer above. Factoring, factoring and if all else fails, the quadratic formula. But the placement test's purpose is to place you appropriately. Too early in the curriculum and you'll be bored, too far along and you'll strain muscles trying to catch up!
Good luck!

Take a half an hour to an hour a day for the remainder of the two weeks. Study your math book, look for things that you have any trouble with. Ask for help if you need it.
