glad to answer i work to work and i live to live!
Do you like your job? Love it
More importantly, is a decent paycheck the sole reson you have the job you've got? i would take more money for sure but i love the work i do!
Or do you work wherever you work because you actually like it? yeah i love it!
Are people really meant to work like slaves five days a week only to truly enjoy themselves and relax on the weekends? the one thing i don't like no flex time can't work from home but i work with great people we hug each other and we are like a large family! and if we communicate we do get the needed time off!
Is this as good as it gets? no life can always get better it's what you make of it right!
well i'm on thjis kick right now wheni get board of it i'll move on and find more meaning in my life!

Only a few % of people have found their calling and truly live to work. The rest of us are stiffs that show up, do the best we can and can't wait to clock out on Friday to do what we want. The trick is to find our passion and parlay that into a meaningful career. Unfortunately, this type of thing is reserved mainly for serious intellectuals or the very creative. Plus it takes a lot of hard work to get started, but if the work is joy, then it doesn't matter.
Long story short, this is as good as it gets.

I work to live - I have a good job with a fairly decent salary (accountant) but I could earn more by doing further studying but that means devoting thr next 4 yrs of my life to it and i'm not sure I can so i'm happy being in the middle. A good career but not at the top of it - I like having my weekends free to do what I want life is too short to spend it constantly working!!

I am a machinist and I make fuel pumps for dragsters and monster trucks like Bigfoot and the Gravedigger, but they dont pay me enough the only good thing about working here is getting free tickets(not the cheap ones) to the races, and its kinda nice when I see these guys on TV or magazines and I know they are using parts I made. I can open any Hot Rod magazine and point out parts from my work. But other than that it still sucks.

I do neither. I follow the practice of Bhakti Yoga ( loving, devotional service to connect with God. (also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Elohim, Vishnu, Rama, etc) We offer all of our activities, work, talents, crafts in the service of God named above. In this way our whole life become recreation. My husband buys used fork lifts and fixes and sells them on e-bay. Not a great job but it is what he knows and because he does it in a spirit of Love to God he enjoys his work. I do foot reflexology. (foot massage) now nothing wonderful about that but my consciousness is to help others in any way I can to come closer to their highest self as I offer my service to God as well as humanity. It is so enlivening. We don't work long hard days. We understand if we serve God with our work etc. then he provides for all of our needs. No need to over endeavor unnecessarily. Simple living, High thinking. This philosophy is taught in The Science of Self Realization by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupad. Life is to be lived in reality, and happily, not in illusion working day and night for eating, sleeping, sex and defence. Those things are provided automatically even to the animals. We humans just need to know the Sciene of Life.

Find something that you love to do, and the money will come, eventually. Most of your time is spent working or sleeping, so enjoy your job and get a comfortable mattress.

I loved teaching, but it was more hassle than reward. I retired and now work in a public library. still not hassle free, but much less stress and I don't have more homework than all 150 of my students put together. if you don't like your job, find another one!
