Talking German!

2007-12-26 08:34:48 · answer #1 · answered by Guessses, A.R.T. 6 · 6 7

My Jewish grandparents were killed when Germans invaded Poland, before Nazi allied Japan woke the sleeping isolationist giant USA from neutrality.

If the US had stayed neutral, Britain would have fallen, and the Nazis would have moved on to British commonwealth nations, like here in Canada where my orphaned mom had fled to freedom.

The Nazis would have killed her, unless she escaped to the US, and America would've been easy pickings across the world's longest unprotected border with Canada.

British war industries would have been added to the rest of Europe, at Hitler's finger tips, creating a super power that dwarfs what the USA has become.

Germany would have won the race to the atom bomb.

Japan would attack LA instead of just the Aleutian islands and Hawaii.

Italy would never have changed sides against Hitler, and fascist Spain would have become an Allie of German and Italian fascists!

Even Russia would have fallen, without USA help to create a second front, and Hitler would use the strength of the USSR to conquer the world.

Game, set, and match.

Eventually they'd have gotten my teen aged mother, probably hiding in a barn in the US prairie states, and I would not be alive to answer this hypothetical question!

Speaking German and saying sieg Heil. tho to liberals they wouldn't have Israel and the Jews to blame for the world's problems.
Oh and to those people that are hung up on the actions of "conservatives" during ww2. When war was declared we did not make up a rash of conspiracy theories purporting to involve FDR in the Pearl Harbor attack. And no Republican supported Hitler in the same way that Joe Kennedy did when he was expelled as ambassador to England. Also no member of the Bush family was consorting with a member of German Military intelligence like JFK was doing in the late 30s.
And as far as Prescott is concerned, he was doing business with a Swiss Bank, of which he owned 1 share. And if you take a look at what was going on in the 30s, quite a few American Companies did business with Germany, along with English, French and Russians.

Germany was very advanced during WW2. As the matter of fact most technologies possesed by allies right after WW2 was stolen from Germany. During Korean war american pilots almost couldn`t tell difference from american and russian planes (both were jet design technology stolen from Germans). So yes, we would be on a Mars by now.

There were no peaceful solution: Communism was the biggest threat to the world. Hitler was forced to make a preventive attack on Russia just weeks before russians would do it. If not Hitler at least the whole Europe would learn russian in school (if not the whole world incl. America) and not just Eastern Europe as it was.

Most of us wouldn't be here because Hitler's plan for America was to kill as many civilians as possible because he knew Americans would not be as easily occupied as the Europeans, especially the French , were.

Everything West of the Mississippi river was to be occupied by Japan. So look at how they treated the Chinese and that's how they would treat the Americans.

P.S. Neither NAZI Germany nor Imperialist Japan of the 1940's had much love for Black people so they would all have been worked to death or just executed outright.

We did take the "peaceful" alternative to WWII and waited until we were attacked before attacking another sovereign nation. There was a great deal of people who wanted us in the war prior to the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Let's discuss the differences in circumstances: In WWII, we were directly attacked by Japan, in our homeland. There was no recourse but to strike back; there was no peaceful alternative.

With Iraq, we attacked first and toppled their government. Now we are forced to occupy the country as babysitters, until the Iraqis are ready to form a stable government.

If we had continued to contain Sadam Hussein, i.e. no fly zones, economic embargoes; we would not be in the same awkward position the US is in today.

Punitive measures are meant to punish, not destroy. If you destroy, then you are obligated to rebuild.

Still here. There were those that favored us being isolated/staying out of it,yet we were involved already. Had we not been attacked by Japan or Germany had not declared war on us we would have lost little. It is more complex than can be answered in this forum. We would not have been speaking German though.

Realize, this "War" is not like any the U. S. has fought before. George Bush and his Republican Retreads did something the Country has never done before. They performed an invasion based on manufactured intelligence and then punished anyone who tried to expose them.
