Has anyone tried any ideas? I saw a good leather sofa & love seat at my local Costco but was very disappointed to find that Costco doesnt deliver... These things are very big and heavy for me to even think of taking myself. Right now I dont even have any friend in town to help! (I live in a Chicago suburb called Naperville)

Do you, at least, have a VEHICLE to carry the sofa?

You may consider going to a local home improvement store, like Home Depot, or Lowes. There is, almost, always a swarm of day laborer hanging around the edge of the parking lot, looking for almost any kind of work, including a couple of hours of moving furniture. Tell them what you need help with, negotiate a price and take them to Costco to load up and then, back home to unload. Keep in mind that the helper will expect cash, and, probably, a ride back to the location you found him. Be sure to talk about that, before you finish your negotiations.

Vinces idea is good.

You can also check out Craigslist, you can either post an ad for what you want or you might even find someone offering a service like this. I've seen these ads out there.
