i am going to buy HD 3870 for my system my mobo is Asus p5w dh ?

so it has PCIe 1.1 but the card is PCIe2 ..due to this will i be able to get the full power out from the card or is going to be limited ?

Any increase in speed the card has is still limited by the speed of the motherboard.

You'll still be able to use it, just not to it's full potental.

EG if a card has a bandwith of X and the motherboard has a bandwith of 1/2 X then your card will only be able to function as well as its motherboard.
