My business is impacted by the weather on a day to day basis - specifically, when it's raining or very hot we get busier. I'm wondering if there is a resource available that will let me check the weather for dates in the past to help with current year business projections.

The weather underground has a link on the weather page for every ZIP code that says "History." Follow that link, and have yourself a jolly time.

if you're in the US then go to the website of your local National Weather Service office and look for a link to "Climate" or something like that. If you burrow around in there you should find your local climate information or be redirected to the National Climate Data Center or one of the regional offices. It's a similar story for Canada, where you can click on "Past Weather" on the Environment Canada website and be redirected to their climate information repository. Same sort of thing for the UK Met Office. Those are all the ones I've looked at, but it should be the same sort of thing for other large national weather agencies.

I'd be hesitant to look at things like Weather Underground, because there is little, if any, quality control for the weather stations in their network and both present and historical data can be wrong. I know this is true, because I am part of their network!

Justin, the website you want is one I recommend to many viewers of this site:

Just type in your zip code, or city and state in the upper left box and scroll down to History and Almanac and type in the month and any day or the day you are looking for. When this page comes up you can get daily weather or weekly, or monthly averages.

There are many features here I am sure you will find very useful.
