Why? AOL is the internet with training wheels. AOL has poor customer support if any, poor spam and phishing policies, as bad if not worse than Yahoo's.

If you have internet what would you need AOL for? AOL is a ISP (Internet Service Provider) and nothing is FREE. The AOL browser is nothing but a huge pop-up advertisement. Want a good browser with security? Get Firefox or Opera.

Yep. Just go to aol.com and you can get their home page which would give you access to their web browser, AIM instant messaging and any other service AOL offers. My internet provider is Verizon, but I like having the AOL home page ;-)

Hey thumbs-down... I answered the question that was asked. It's pretty childish to thumbs down an answer 'cos you don't like the service.

You can get the AOL tools (im, homepage, etc.) for free, but not the service.

Personally I think AOL is junk. It's bloated software and it's un-necessary.

Stick with what you have and go to aol.com when you have/want to
