Their agenda of One World Order...I.E. a One World Government?

The reason why I ask this is because of all of the Armageddon doomsday movies on the history channel which is well known to be controlled via the elite.

The 2012 prophesies are referring to the ancient Mayan calender which ends strangely enough on 2012. Since these Indians of south america had many visions they consider them to be ahead of their time on knowledge of the way the solar system works.
Their are 5 main owners of our entire media these elite which are directly related to the elite that run the central banks of the world have many plans for world government. I personally do not think they pay much attention to the beliefs of the Mayan Indians. But rather the masonic guild their ancestors have handed down to them along with the riches to control all soceities. Their blueblood lines are still the elite that run man today. Ever heard of rothchild, rockerfeller or jp morgan Chase.
It would do Americans some credit to learn something rather than the current sport scores or the babbling we get from our fake TV news.
Once you find out who controls our money you have struck gold no pun intended but they are the elite.

No, all TV channels are controlled by the elite, not just the History Channel. The religious right uses fear ot the end times to promote pro-war and pro-Israel policies in the Middle East. There is something sick about people hoping for the end times so that the "bad" guys will all be killed.

The Mayans predicted the end of the current age in 2012. The world won't end, but their will be a great upheaval and billions will die, if the Mayans were correct. Time to buy some land in the mountains, just in case they were right!

No. The movies are just entertainment. Moviemakers often draw on popular mythology for ideas. It s fun, but that's all, even though the tiny minority of people who take such things seriously probably need some psychological counselling.

This isn't new. There have been movies and TV series about alien invasion and abduction ("Independance Day," "The X Files"), about alien visitors ("Stargate"), secret societies plotting to take over the world ("Tomb Raider") etc, etc. The current crop of entertainment offerings along those lines is no different.

Here's something to think about, though--if you want to see how the elite manipulates public opinion, look at the commercials, not the programs/movies. How many supposedly "scientific" ads do you see urging you to buy expensive drugs to solve problems like upsetstomachs, trouble getting asleep, etc. FYI: in either case, a cup of hot chocolate will do you more good! LOL. Or cars--do you realize we've been suckered into buying millions of "SUV's"--which are nothing but dressed up station wagons with a center of gravity too high to be safe under urban driving conditions? And don't even get me started on weight loss "remedies" of all kinds (cure: sensible diet and exercise-it works-and its the only thing that will work--and cost you nothing but a pair of inexpensive walking shoes).

Andits not just marketing--that jsut controls public opinion. But its the foundation. Without supposed (that is, manufactured) demand for gas hogs, the oil companies woud have littleclout--and we would not be dependant on foreign oil (there goes the raison d'etre for most of the so-called "military interventions" of the last 20 years." And so on.

You will see maybe 20-30 movies this year--plus a lot of TV. But you will be programmed by the psychological manipulation of thousands--more likely tens of thousands--of highly sophisticated commercial ads to behave, think, and consume--in ways that not only mean profit for corporations, but undergird the economic and political status quo and those who benefit from it at your expense.

Not specifically 2012 prophecies, but I do believe that the religious elite absolutely play on people's beliefs in end times.

Look at Iraq and Iran, there are people in the world welcoming this conflict because the battle of Armaggedon will occur in the Middle East. By twisted logic, starting a war there means God shall return, when in reality it is simply putting resources and power in the hands of the few, stamping out dissidence and establishing a hegemonic military authority of outsiders in the Middle East. Whether that will lead to One World Government has yet to be seen.

Wow. This could be the strangest conspiracy theory I have ever heard. I have never heard anyone use the 2012 prophesy to further an agenda. Imagine that in the 2008 election. "Vote for me, one term limit! Apocalypse coming!" Please. Know what's going to happen in 2012? Not a damn thing. Next.

No I don't think that they are doing that. Most people don't even know what those prophesies are.

And which "elite" controls the History Channel, exactly? Do you have any supporting evidence of your claim?

The will do anything they can to provoke the Battle of Armaggedon, and thus their agendas of theocracy and War.

i think the history channel does its programming according to ratings and men watch it more than women. they are in a rerun cycle now and generally show the top rated shows. no conspiracy here.
