Reindeer are more commonly known as Caribou.

Caribou are are about 8-9 feet tall and leavre hoof prints that are roughly 5-6 times larger then a whitetail deer.

Whitetail deer prints have hoofs that are split in two and ae very distinct.

most likely what you saw on the roof was just bird prints.

no, a reindeer has larger hoofs than a whitetail. i have buzzards on my roof because of the whitetail hunters that shoot deer and leave them to rot in the woods behind my house that they call a (hunt club) .
