Sorry but the Cubs are never *it'll be 100 seasons at the end of '08* and you cubs fans have been saying the same thing forever, "This year will be the year were so much better than we were last year." And you never are so no they won't win a pennit and it'll be another disappointing year for all the Cubs fans out there.

Too bad that this is not a true or false question, I would have said false that they would win it. They will not make it to the playoffs, even through it is to early to know this for sure. But Chicago Cubs fans, just look forward to another (long) offseason. But will be way beyond 101 years before the Chicago Cubs wins the World Series.

The Cubs starters are holding them back as well.Cub fans get all silly over Zambrano like they used to over Wood and Prior.Zambrano is too inconsistent to be considered an "ace".Ever wonder why St.Louis gave up on Marquis?Last season should have been clear enough to you. Will Lilly revert to his status as a career .500 pitcher?Any other names strike fear into the hearts of hitters?
The best thing(maybe the only thing) the Cubs have going for them is that they are in the weakest division in baseball. The Dodgers have improved their team the most in the NL and should be favored to win the league.Detroit has put themselves in the same class as Boston with their offseason moves.
You can give me a thumbs down if you want,Cubs fans, but be sure to write me in October.

No sorry not yet. How do you feel about them shopping around for naming rights to Wrigley? It sucked when it happened on the southside. As long as you are in that stadium you will not win a series. You should make it to the playoffs but I dont see you going too deep. Fukudome is not the savior everyone is making him out to be. I like Lou and what he has done but there is more to the game than a great manager and a couple of decent players. Go SOX

The only thing holding the Cubs back is that they're the Chicago Cubs. Something is always going to stop them. Usually their own ineptitude.

The Cubs seem to have done a good thing when they signed Fukudome. He could be just what they need. If the Cubs can get some pitching help, I don't think they'll win the "pennit" but perhaps they'll win the "pennant".

Not a chance, either Milwaukee or Houston is going to win the NL Central.
