i starred it hours ago cause i really wanted to answer it..Thanks for keeping it open..
First of all,i am not a Cena Fan,I really don't like his wrestling style and generally his moves or his finishers..i don't find them that attractive but i have to admit that he is carefull and he is not botching moves. To avoid botching moves need skills and John Cena have them..not awesome ones but at least decent...
Secondly,I like him as an all around entertainer,he ha awesome mic skills,he can be funny as hell and generally he is not a boring personality watching him on the shows..I like him a little as a wrestler cause he is trying a lot and he sometimes can pull off great matches like with HBK the one that lasted an hour..or against Umaga at the Royal Rumble and more...
Finally, here comes the part that Cena is one of the wrestlers that he is high on my respectfull ones list.I respect this guy a ton taking into consideration the inside and outside facts and figures..You really can't find a good reason to avoid show respect to him..
1)His contribution to the business..and his services to the WWE..merchandise...movies e.t.c
2)Work Ethic..he is a hard worker and bust his @ss a lot only to be here and entertain us
3)His professionalism, even though from the early yearrs aka 2002 the WWE has promised hima title reign he has been waiting until 2005 and he never complaint or something. He is always willing to listen to others...
4)In his outside of the ring attitude,he is an awesome person from what i have heard and he is very close to his fans..
5)Always want to be part of charities and entertain the troops..He was one of the guyz that supporting that kind of moves all the way..
and many more...I really can't find a way to avoid show respect to John Cena no matter if his title reign was too long and no matter if his gimmick is not that awesome like it used to be..At least he and the WWE can still make profit of that gimmick...

I respect him a great deal. Though he is nowhere near my favorite wrestler or entertainer for that matter, he is a generally respectable guy. He's a good worker, a great draw, pretty good talker, and a good person outside the ring as well. Personally, I liked him a lot back in the day... When he was heel, chain gang, on Smackdown feuding with the likes of Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle. He gets a lot of flack nowadays, mostly for his lengthy title run which many feel was undeserved and lack of moveset and being repetitive. While these things may be somewhat true, I feel they are exaggerated by most smart fans. He's not as bad as people make him out to be. He's just a babyface stuck with a lame "invincible" gimmick for the most part.
So yes, I like him and respect him, but I wouldn't really consider myself a "fan" of his.

I didn't liked his champ gimmik because he didn't SELL his moves so he SEEMED like a terrible, crappy wrestler.
But outside the character, I respect Cena I think he's not a bad wrestler. I enjoyed his debut match against Kurt Angle a lot, and some OVW as well. He needs to come back with a new gimmik (heel turn would be great) or go back to an old gimmik (rapper era was fantastic). But not as the champ, that character sucked.
But yeah, I respect him anyways. He's way better wrestler than his crappy character showed.

Respect him, yes, he has a great attitude, deals with all the hate that comes his way, and actually cares about the WWE fans, unlike some of his fellow superstars.
Like him, not really, he's not that great of a wrestler at least not good enough to hold a major title for a whole year, and this whole white rapper/marine gimmick is old.

I respect Cena, I think he is a hard worker and very dedicated to this business. I'm sure that he's one of the coolest guys on the roster, and I bet he's a nice guy.
But as it comes to wrestling, he sucks, his character is dumb, the whole marine thing has went on for too long. I think it would be good for him to have a run as a heel.

Of course I am a true Cena fan..
I admire the guts he has to stand all his haters and that is very impressive..
He has great wrestling skills, but because of 'The Champ' gimmick, he can't do all the moves he used to do when he was The Prototype and The Rapper..
Besides, he has great mic skills..
Overall, I respect him a lot and I just hope he comes back with something new..!!

I completly agree with HBK's #1 fan. I liked him as the SmackDown1 Rappering underdog going heel. But I don't hate him, don't like him. The WWE realised his merchandise was flying off the shelves like birds, so they realised that him being champ=money. I'm not saying that the WWE is driven by money but I think that's one of the reasons. I stopped watching wrestling around Summerslam after he again retained the title. Someone told me he was no longer champ and I started watching it again.
The new Cena is Batista though. He gets title shot after title shot after title shot!
Who agrees with me?

I think all this slagging Cena off business is pointless.
He doesn't deserve the credit he gets from some, but then again he doesn't deserve masses of people saying how **** he is and all that.
The only reason people didn't like him was because of his almost year long reign as WWE Champ.
All-in-all I think he is a DECENT wrestler.
...With a really awful gimmick atm.

I like Cena. He does say some things that make me put my hand to my head and say "Oh my God...", but I have to respect the guys inring talent. Not many men can lift a 500 pound man onto his shoulders and slam him.
I will admit that I wasn't very upset when he lost his title. I wasn't happy that he lost it due to injury, but he had the title for so long that it was getting boring for me.

I'm definitely JOHN CENA'S #1 fan. he is awesome, a fighter who never backs down from any challenge,a wrestler who fights fairly and much more.
i don't know why few people hate him but whatever anyone says I'll always be his greatest fan ever.
and people who don't like him simply don't know that what a true fighter mean.
