Willing to experiment in ways that aren't a sure hit. Thinks out of the box and doesn't create music based on what the current fad is.
I would rank Axl Rose as being gutsy for treating his fans like s*** and not worrying about the future of his band as a result of his rude actions.

It means who is the risk taker of the band? the one to do the most daring stuff. Like the 'daredevil' of the band.

Every band has the "bad boy" (or girl). For example, I think in the band "backstreet boys", it was the guy with the moustache.
