Im getting a belking wireless and the are people next door to me who have the same belkin will i haft to change my network name to something unique because i hear it can damage you network connection?

Well, it really is easy to do, takes about two seconds and makes your connection easily identified. So why not change it?

As far as hurting your network, it can't, but it sure can confuse your computer into not knowing which router to connect into if both have the same name! So when you set up the router, just change the name, that is one item in the setup that nearly everyone skips even when they shouldn't.

it wont damage your network connection, however it may get confusing trying to figure out which network you are connecting to. just change your SSID when you setup your router otherwise you will have to look for a MAC address when connecting.
