The black parade funeral is wherever you want it to be. All we know is that on the 11th january we celebrate tbp era by playing TBP songs, wearing merch ect wherever you are.

EDIT2: Okay peeps just so you know, none of this has been officially confirmed, its just rumours, But MCR did say its the end of TBP era and they are going back to their old music, Gerard said they arent going to pull a stunt like TBP again.

I'm not going (where is it?) but in any case that's cool, I trust Gerard Way. Music is all about change, and it's good that MCR doesn't have to be stuck in "Black Parade" mode. Gerard should never feel limited by his music, he should do whatever comes into his heart whether it's his old style or new style or whatever style it is.

I'm sorry, but I hated The Black Parade. Their old music is way better. My cousin and I argue about this all the time...he thinks TBP is better then TCFSR.
The only song I liked off that cd is Mama...

It all started with the Black Parade website just flatlining, and then an interview came up where Gerard said they weren't putting on the gear on singing the songs anymore.

Personally, I think MCR sounded better on TBP album than I Brought you my Bullets you Brought me Your Love.
If they are going to change their old style of music, I hope it is to the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge sound. Otherwise, I'm glad I bought the CD. I mean, I am a huge MCR fan, but I would hate for them to change their style, after coming so far. You know, with Gee being sober, the sound has improved..So..I hope..It'll be good!

WHAT??? But MCR's The Black Parade is the best of all their albums and it is the best type of music they have ever played EVER! The Black Parade era will never end for me though.
I'm pretty sure like u said, Gerard will come up with better stuff....

Of course, I love My chemical romance I loved the Black Parade but can't wait to hear My Chemical Romance once again. I love everything of their's I can't wait to see whats comming next. Like Gerard says its better to celebrate and remember the good at a funeral than cry about missing it..

awww that made me weirdly sad!!! i don't know, i really liked TBP. but i trust Gerard. he knows what he's doing. wow that is a little depressing in a funny sort of way. but it just goes to show all you haters out there-MCR isn't a sell-out band. they experimented with a different sound. thats all. and they did a VERY good job. I can't wait to see what they do next!!!

Like I said before, this makes me both and angry and sad. I want to both cry and slap Gerard. I can understand it if they don't play the songs or go into Black Parade gear anymore, but to say it's dead and take down the site? I'm sorry, but I'm angry. I'll come though to celebrate it's place in my heart, make sure there's plenty of Kleenex.....
