Yahoo News: India
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - A public difference of opinion between Israel and its U.S. ally about intelligence on Iran's nuclear capability will make it harder for the Jewish state to launch any unilateral preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear sites.

I have just blocked GOPer...
...due to his challenging me to respond to a Q he posted just for me yesterday.
When I destroyed his false claims about Japan having a great economy due to devaluing their currency he pulled the Q. I posted links showing Japan has been in a recession for about 11 years and going.

I will unblock him eventually though

Iran never violated rules of INEA (International nuclear energy agency ). All the noise made by bush admin. had no real foundations . Iran is not a threat to any country.
Regards.

Yes. Not from choice, however. The saber-rattling by the Bush regime was intended to set the war for military action against Iran--that being the chosen course to achieve their stated goal of "spreading democracy" (expending the neocons dream of a colonial empire).
But to do that they have to find some way of conning enough of the American people and Congress into authorizing sustained military action against Iran. The NIE report pretty much kills that--for the time being at least.
If you'll note, Bush and his co-conspirators have already switched strategies. Now they are talking about a "need to shore up our forces in Afghanistan" and how they will be able to do that as soon as the "surge" is over in Iraq and they cand send those troops to Afghanistan.
Not that Afghanistan isn't a mess--due to Bush's incompetance. But nothing has happened there in the last few months tha tchanges the situation significantly. Yet--jsut as soon as the NIE report discredited Bush's rhants about Iran, suddently "Afghanistan needs more troops."
Yeah, right--and if you believe that, I have this waterfront property in Tuscon I'd like to sell you . . . . .

Hi Chi Guy... Congrats on the Top Contributor designation.
I think they have toned it down considerably. Maybe it's just the holidays, but since Israel contradicted the report, the Administration hasn't said much about it.

absolutely...too many Americans have come to believe they understand the "threat" from Iran. the NIE cast doubt on that "belief". with that chain of reasoning broken, the administration has had to adjust it's campaign to make Iran the great satan. until some insignificant incident can be seized upon to paint Iran as our mortal enemy...we can only await the new sales pitch.

not really but it sure made them scurry around trying to continue with the spin that we can't trust them. People are a little more jaded since his last go around of "doesn't matter that they are cooperating now, they can't be trusted". They even tried to connect today's pressure with them having shut down their weapons program years ago. Sadly, I think some Americans still swallow his oral diarrhea

NO
He was on my TV last Friday saying I-ran was fooling the world. They shut down one facility because it was out dated. But secretly built more.
I could care less about Iran wanting to blow things up. If I-ran so much as pushed a "Launch Button" Ronald Reagan's Star Wars would blast them out of the Sky.

It seems so. I mean, after our intelligence agencies state they have high confidence the weapons program was terminated, there's not much substance for rhetoric now, is there?

I don't think so. They show an amazing inability not to learn from their mistakes. These are the people to create their own reality, after all.

Heck no. And, the dangers of Iran should continue to be highlighted. It is not fear mongering. It is reality. I prefer to have my head soundly attached to the rest of my body rather than living in an imaginary world.
