I'm not religious in any way but I think our "soul" or our awareness, goes on to exist in a way which we just cannot begin to comprehend. I find it very hard to imagine not "being" in some kind of existence.

Hangs around awhile on Earth to help the grieving, then goes to Heaven and watches, and sometime becomes a guardian angel to someone who needs you.
