World of Warcraft pets?

How do you get pets on world of warcraft? (I'm a hunter)

And, also, any info you can give me about them would be useful too.

At level 10 you get a quest that explains it for you. You use an ability to charm a beast as a pet for you to use.

At level 10 you get a quest from the hunter trainer, he will give you a taming rod and tell you which beast to tame (use your track beasts skill now to speed up the process). After you have tamed the first beast turn in the quest, you will then do this 2 more times, upon completion of the third time you will learn the tame beast ability, go out and tame your first pet!

Level 10 quest, will show you how to get a pet. I think there is a hunter site, check the forums on wow, people list them all the time about what ability each pets have, you can keep up to 3 of them , but you have to stable them, and it's costly.

Yes, at level 10 you can start the string of quests to teach you how to tame your pet. You will recieve a summons from your pet trainer...keep visiting the hunter trainer.

After you finish those quests then you can find a beastie and tame it...as long as it is tameable.

DON'T FORGET TO FEED YOUR PET RIGHT AFTER TAMING HIM OR HE WILL LEAVE YOU.

After you tame the beast you will need to feed him when the happiness meter goes to content or unhappy the meter will be just a little square by his stats at the left top of the screen and will be green (happy), yellow (content) and Red (unhappy)
