I feel that when two people love each other enough to share their life together it does not matter the SEX of the individuals, the only thing that matters is their love for one another! The only one who can make judgement on us is GOD. And as for the definition of the word marriage is: THE UNION OF TWO PEOPLE IN WEDLOCK!, I do not see the words man and woman in wedlock or the union of a man and woman, come on people we are not that shallow and judgemental are we. I say yesto gay marriage, because the funny thing is that most gay people don't see their partners as male or female just as a person, and the one they love and chose to be with.

Yes, we should all have equal rights, we are living in America. Marriage is not a religious either so I do not even want to hear that crap. I don't believe in god and I got married, not in a church either. That doesn't make me a sinner. Gay couples love each other so why shouldn't they be able to do the same thing other loving straight couples get to do? Marriage is between 2 people who love each other.

I really couldn't care either way. I see both arguments, but to say that marriage was created for men and women to have children is ludicrous. If it is simply a religious institution then why is our government involved with it. The powers of separation of church and state should've done away with that long ago. There are two different views of marriage (legal and religious) and that is where the argument lies. The "legal" marriage people say that they should be able to marry because of civil liberties and that all men and women are created equal. The "religious" marriage people quote the bible where a man should not lay with another man, etc. I am a mixture of both where I see them as being created equal and making a choice and religiously the bible (in my readings) tells us to do one thing above all others and that is to love. In the particular passage (that I cannot and would not quote even if I could) doesn't say only love the opposite sex, but simply to love.

Religious questions aside, things could get messy if a gay "married couple" decided to go their separate ways. As it stands now, two unmarried people don't have to go through any legal rigamarole if they no longer want to share each other's company. They just have to go their separate ways, and that's it. Proponents of gay marriage should at least take that into account.

At this point, who cares . Sort of wish they would of kept things in the closet but ohwell . Just don't ask for the same legal rights that a male/ female relationship have . To me it's still insuling for gay people to think they are married when they are just a bunch of freeks .

The practice of homosexuality is destructive to the human soul and God gave His warnings about this in the Bible. Supporting gay marriage is a sin because it means to support homosexuality.

Iniquities (sinful tendencies) pass down the generation line if they are not removed by the Blood of the Lord Jesus. Homosexuality is caused by iniquity and the Blood of Jesus cleanses the iniquities of all who accept Him as their Saviour.

After a person accepts the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, they are transformed and made a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). So the gay person would be changed and so would the alcoholic, liar, drug addict, fornicator etc. It's the power of the Blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the believer that brings about this transformation.

REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Because mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of perfection necessary to abide in God’s presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer’s sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ’s righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus’ gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God’s grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer’s justified status.

If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God:

"Dear Jesus,

I am a sinner.
I repent of my sins.
Please forgive me and save me by your shed blood;
come into my heart.
I want to receive you as my own personal Lord and Savior.

Amen"

I think gay marriage /SHOULD/ be allowed..

It's nobodys bussiness if gays should be married or not. We are going to see gays kissing/hugging/holding hands, etc. if their married or not. Is it really anyones bussiness if their married or not? Seriously. Sure, the bible says one thing but, some people don't even believe in the bible.

I have a gay friend and he doesn't believe in god.

I think gays should be able to get married. It's nobodys bussiness.

I don't judge people. I love gay people. Their awesome and they are super nice.

No, because marriage is a religiously defined act of union between a man and a woman for the purpose of having children. However, any two people should be allow to form a union with the same legal rights as a married couple. It's only fair.
